This is a test of your home to find out how energy efficient it really is through a series of tests, inspections, and a questionaire. When the the audit is completed you will be given suggestions on what to do to lower your energy use along with estimated annual savings. CONVENTIONAL INSULATION We install bat insulation and blow in conventional insulation in existing attics or newly constructed homes. RADIANT BARRIER We install radiant barrier foil in existing homes and also offer house wraps for new construction. All barrier used is of Industrial Grade. SOLAR SCREENS We offer Phifer Suntex solar screens. Screen fabric is offered in the following colors: black - stucco - brown - beige - gray Framing colors : mill - gray -white - bronze - tan - almond CAULKING & PAINTING Over the years caulking around windows, doors, and baseboards cracks or shrinks causing costly loss of cool air from the house in the summer, and cold air seepage into the house in the winter. We remove all old caulk and replace it with a new, very durable and long lasting caulk. In some cases a simple cover of the existing caulk is acceptable. SOFFET VENTING Some homes are built with inadequate soffet venting which is a very important part of a homes efficiency. An attic must move air at a steady, continuos rate to vent hot air in the summer, if not the hot air stays in the attic making it harder to cool the home. In most cases we can solve this problem by adding and, or enlarging the soffet vents. WATER HEATER WRAPS Your water heater accounts for about 20% of your homes energy bill. We wrap the water heater in a radiant barrier foil bubble wrap which keeps the water, once heated, heated for a longer period of time, therefore reducing the time the water heater is actually heating sometimes by as much as 50%. ATTIC TENTS This is a product (pictured below) that fits over your attic stairway when folded up in your attic. The attic tent when installed properly will prevent the transfer of air between the home and the attic.
